Paper and book restoration

Education:
- I completed the ‘Paper Restoration Specialist’ course in Belgium at Syntra.
- Two years of bookbinding lessons at the Academy in Genk. Teacher: Ingela Dierick.
- Private bookbinding lessons from Ingela Dierick from Germany.

In addition, I regularly attend continuing education courses through professional associations such as Restauratoren Nederland and other providers, such as:
- Infilling losses, matching both color and texture, for book conservation, Rita Udina, 2023
- Hydrogels in conservation, Matthew Cushman, 2024
- English gilding, Toon van Camp, 2024
- Architectural photoreproductions: identification and conservation, Hildegard Homburger, 2024
- Restoration of Globes, Patricia Engel, 2024

Work experience:
- One day a week at Knops book restoration in Munstergeleen since January 2020.
- Own studio ‘Papier-hier’ for paper and book restoration in Hoensbroek since 2024. Working for institutions and private individuals.
